_In Suburbia

Hi all,

Again it's been too long since i last posted!

As you might know i do love a bit of menswear, and as it isn't always seen i wanted to share with you some of my favourite collections.

Here it is, he is Benjamin Bertram and a stunning collection, defiantly
a treat for your eyes!!!

Benjamin Bertram has a theory of his own when it comes to fashion: in times of financial instability, creativity is born.

Following this idea, decided to base his Menswear Graduate Collection: Suburban Boys around the idea of the disenfranchised youth in Britain, taking inspiration from Suburban Subcultures as well as what he calls “the boy himself”,
this idealised image of “a cool street lad with a cheeky wink”.

Collectie Kant en Klaar_By Borre

A beautiful video of his first collection _ Ready Made.

Collection from robertanderson on Vimeo.

Borre Akkersdijk (By Borre) is a 25 years old Paris based freelance designer. The Design Academy of Eindhoven had his first Paris fashion show: the First cycle last month– the story from the yarn to the show. A beautiful and interesting collection with oversize knitted coats and dresses as well as duffle dresses. This appeals to me as i am a massive knitting lover and knit all the time.
The video is beautiful so please have a look!

I do love this boy a lot! I don't know why??

National Geographic Influences Fashion

National Geographic style has immersed itself into fashion and
filtered it's way into all over graphic prints in many designer's collections, as
well as textural layers and contrasting surfaces.
Gorgeous colours flow together creating strong prints which draw the eye in, leaving you mesmerized.

TREND: SUNO S/S2012

Hey!
Its been a while, but I'm back from Antwerp, such an amazing city! So many beautiful shops, and of course where the Antwerp Six formed, went all over the place, so if you have 2/3 days spare
i would definitely recommend that you have a visit!
Paris and Antwerp Posts will be up asap, i just need to move my arse!

Back to Fashion - Suno
Their first runway show for the brand Suno, known for their use of prints,  keeping to a minimal palette. Though quite reserved from previous collections. Of course the prints were in no way boring, but it did perceive a more mature grown up feel with a great use of patterns and layering thrown into the mix.

S/S12 Henrik Vibskov

Whether it is in runway format or a presentation, as it was this time at Copenhagen Fashion Week SS 2012, expect to teleport into some abstract fantasy of Henrik Vibskov’s mind. I especially liked all of Vibskov’s knitwear for SS 2012. The menswear is particularly striking, the softness of how the clothes drape and the colour syncing together; knitwear was a key focus and Vibskov pulls it off beautifully.
It reminded me a lot of Missoni, but naturally so as they own the fashion of knitwear as we know it.
