_January Blues

Hey!

I have been on bit of a hiatus for a year now, but have pulled myself together.

New Year, New adventures!!!

I know January isn't always the best month, but the January blues don't have to be so bad!!

_Never say Netherlands

I'm off again! I apologise for my gaps in posts i am working on it for the new year!

First things first, i'm off to de Achterhoek in the Netherlands tomorrow, excited as i have not been since September and am seeing my Oma!!

When i'm not eating everything in sight, i mean everything! I will be off to Arnhem for some retail 

therapy.

An amazing Czech designer i must share with you all!

Zuzana Kubickova

Beautiful and delicate clothing with exaggerated hips and soft textures that 

make the model float instead of walk.

Embroidered lace pattern and laser cut work across the the garments and 

on the knees of the stockings and truly amazing.

So simple and delicate how they have been attached, and the pieces together give a very enthral

feel.

_JANTINE VAN PESKI’S WIRES 10.0 COLLECTION

Jantine van Peski studied at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute before attending the Fashion Department of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp, where she graduated in 2011 from a master (MA) degree with ‘WIRES 10.0’ collection. Her work focuses on silhouette and craftsmanship, with great attention to materials and techniques used.

Jantine’s was strongly influenced by the textile sculptures from the 1970’s and specifically the macramé-technique. 

That was the starting point to construct pieces of clothing out of cord and yarn, straight from the body and using only one type of knot.

Viktor Timofeev, the artist explores complex concepts of hybrid realities and Utopian society, Timofeev is preoccupied with a blueprint for another world.

 City by city the Berlin based artist joins together histories and idealised states mixed with dreams of Utopian societies; his own circuit board of paintings collected as exhibitions to the evident flaws but also innovation ever present in dream communities. On one hand these are images styled with oil paints, on another they are heavily researched showing us visual analysis that questions logical boundaries.
