_In Suburbia
Hi all,
Again it's been too long since i last posted!
As you might know i do love a bit of menswear, and as it isn't always seen i wanted to share with you some of my favourite collections.
Here it is, he is Benjamin Bertram and a stunning collection, defiantly
a treat for your eyes!!!
Benjamin Bertram has a theory of his own when it comes to fashion: in times of financial instability, creativity is born.
Following this idea, decided to base his Menswear Graduate Collection: Suburban Boys around the idea of the disenfranchised youth in Britain, taking inspiration from Suburban Subcultures as well as what he calls “the boy himself”,
this idealised image of “a cool street lad with a cheeky wink”.

_Niels Peeraer
A pastel-colored fairytale about a boy who prepares himself every day to marry his imaginary
boyfriend, while wearing his grandmother’s couture jackets, wrapped around tweed, fake fur, tulle, sequined silk and stunning leather accessories.
boyfriend, while wearing his grandmother’s couture jackets, wrapped around tweed, fake fur, tulle, sequined silk and stunning leather accessories.
For this collection was inspired by a very feminine Asian boy, while his main goal was about blurring the line between women’s and men’s collections.

and it was my birthday!! now am an old lady of 22!!!
Anyway here are of what have been getting up to!
It's a mish mash of things so keep up!
The lovely Utrecht!
Utrecht Centraal Museum
Maison Martin Magiela
Was taken to China Town - London for an Early birthday present from my friend Zuza, who then took me to Jamie's Italian for a 3 course meal!
The only decent images from my birthday, as i was snap happy and they were blurred and i was a bit drunk!
But my gorgeous friend Kasia came to visit and we had a great night at 256 in Manchester!
The ever increasing stress in my life, my little work space an Uni, with some of my designs, i am not at all organised :(

_Woolrich Woolen Mills AW '12
Mark McNairy launched his AW 2012 collection at Pitti Uomo in Milan. The mix of wool, corduroy and synthetic materials are beautifully balanced, along with a subtle colour palette. It also shows a good use of technical fabrics and wearable basics.

_Acne Resort Collection 2012
hi, been a week since i last posted, crazy busy at university, anyway came across Acne's new
collection for 2012.
Acne are a great brand, as they don't try too hard, but still pull off effortless style and appeal in their simple
but stunning garments.
What is especially striking is their silhouettes mixing over-sized and fitted pieces, their lightweight sheer fabrics paired with sweats with their pastel color palette. The Resort 2012 women collection is all about comfort and style; something which defines them as a brand.

_Envy
Only this will create envy and distract the most concentrated person and lead them to madness
i don't know what it is, but we are drawn to them like moths to a flame.
In love with the fist picture, i want them so much!!

_Kubickova
Ahoj!
An amazing Czech designer i must share with you all!
Zuzana Kubickova
Beautiful and delicate clothing with exaggerated hips and soft textures that
make the model float instead of walk.
Embroidered lace pattern and laser cut work across the the garments and
on the knees of the stockings and truly amazing.
So simple and delicate how they have been attached, and the pieces together give a very enthral
feel.

_JANTINE VAN PESKI’S WIRES 10.0 COLLECTION
Jantine van Peski studied at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute before attending the Fashion Department of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp, where she graduated in 2011 from a master (MA) degree with ‘WIRES 10.0’ collection. Her work focuses on silhouette and craftsmanship, with great attention to materials and techniques used.
Jantine’s was strongly influenced by the textile sculptures from the 1970’s and specifically the macramé-technique.
That was the starting point to construct pieces of clothing out of cord and yarn, straight from the body and using only one type of knot.
